GOCE-HPF

GOCE High-Level Processing Facility

The GOCE gravitational gradients have to be pre-processed, that is, corrections for temporal gravity field variations have to be computed and applied, if outliers and data gaps are detected in the gradient time series these should possibly be corrected and flagged, and the gradiometer has to be externally calibrated. The preprocessed gravity gradients can be used in gravity field analyses as well as in geophysical applications. A final task is therefore to rotate the gradients from the instrument frame to the local North-West-Up frame and to provide these gravity gradients on an operational basis. In this project we closely collaborate with IAPG (TU Munich).
