Methodology is a cross-sectional area. The systematic development, documentation and provision of new procedures or the revision, or creation of standards and conventions establishes for all research areas an infrastructure which helps to obtain faster consolidated results, allows to get well-founded decisions and avoids duplication of efforts and resources.
